This
morning, I read an email the very talented Anita Johnson sent. It concerned what an offer is and isn’t.
During
Ultimate, we explained that there are many things Vena and I do that are very similar, and some things we do very differently.
That we both
make a lot of offers is something similar about us. How we make our offers is very different.
Remember:
there is no THE way in real estate. There is
only YOUR way, and your way will constantly change, evolve and improve.
If I make a
verbal offer to someone, I then immediately write it down on a card, sheet of paper or contract, add the date, my name and number, and hand it to them. Presto, a written offer is created. Nothing complicated or mysterious about it.
My written
offers come in many shapes and sizes. Sometimes it’s in the form of a realtor’s contract. More often than not, it will be in the form of a teeter-totter or T-bar offer.
My written
offers are not chiseled in stone. They are living things. They grow, change, improve. They are chipped at, whittled and boiled down. They get modified until the offer is acceptable to all parties involved.
I put up a
contest during Wednesday’s (March 24, 2021) Ultimate Zoom call. I again offered my $100 bill to the person who makes the most written offers between March 24, 2021 and March 31, 2021.
Stipulations: First, you must make as many or more written offers than Laura Dressman and I make while door knocking on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Cincinnati. Second, Vena is excluded from this contest. (What’s more, Vena cannot sell you her written offers; option you her written offers; etc. YOU must make YOUR written offers.) Third, as you make your written offers, you must email them to
me. Your offer should include the date, the seller’s name, address and phone number, along with your name and number, and your offer.
Note: I will post a picture of every offer Laura Dressman and I make while out door knocking. All my offers will come from door knocking.
